Super-Resolution Microscopy, DNA Nanotechnology, Biophysics, Single-Molecule Studies
Ralf Jungmann's interdisciplinary research group "Molecular Imaging and Bionanotechnology" is interested in the development of novel imaging tools for biological and biomedical applications. The team combines tools of structural and dynamic DNA nanotechnology with single-molecule fluorescence methods specifically designed for the development and application of high-resolution microscopy techniques. The research vision is to unravel the position and interplay of a variety of genes, RNAs and proteins in a truly quantitative way with the highest spatial resolution in individual cells.
