PhD student
Ryan Hall graduated in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Queensland, Australia determining the atomic structure of recombinant proteins using X-ray diffraction. In 2023, he obtained a first-class Honours degree from The University of Melbourne, Australia where he investigated the intriguing observation that cultured primary female mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) rapidly and preferentially lose an X chromosome to achieve artificial X chromosome dosage compensation. Within the Tachibana Lab, Ryan implements an interdisciplinary approach to solving complex biological questions regarding cellular reprogramming to totipotency through biochemical, structural, and mechanistic experimentation.
