Design your own Fast-Track Postdoc Project on Bottom-Up Synthetic Biology
Deadline: Dec 31, 2021 (First round) and June 30, 2022 (second round)
We offer up to three fast-track postdoctoral fellowships for outstanding young researchers
(PhD within the past 2-3 years) in the framework of the Henriette Herz Scouting Program
of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. You will enjoy a two-year ad-personam funding
of your excellent project idea after fast track-decision in less than 2 months from handing in
your short proposal. Your research will be hosted and supported by Prof. Dr. Petra Schwille,
Department of Cellular and Molecular Biophysics, at the MPI of Biochemistry.
Non-German researchers (m/f/d) with PhD in physics, chemistry, biology or related subjects,
relevant knowledge and a strong publication record in the context of minimal systems
biology/bottom-up biology/artificial cell research.

Starting in 2022 or 2023, for up to two full years of fellowship money, extension possible as
employee through MPG core funding. Fellowships will be 2,650 euros per month (plus
language course, travel expenses, family allowances).
