Anastasija Panevska

PostDoc

After completing her Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's in Molecular and Functional Biology, Anastasija obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. During her PhD she focused on studying pore-forming proteins and their interactions with lipid membranes. In 2023, she was awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship and joined the lab of Petra Schwille. Currently, her work is centered on exploring FtsZ-driven synthetic division within lipid vesicles, aiming to unravel the mechanisms of cellular division and its implications for synthetic biology.
