Bernd Harms - EARLY TWENTIES TANGO
Exhibition from 01.02.2021 to 09.04.2021. Due to the current situation, the exhibition is not open to external visitors and is exclusively accessible to the staff of the MPI for Biochemistry and the MPI for Neurobiology.
The cover picture "Early Twenties Tango" stands for the current situation of all freelance artists. In them is hidden hope, confidence, but also doubt and distress.
Bernd Harms:
“My pictures show motifs & moments captured on travels, frozen with the camera;
thawed by the process of painting and mixed with foreign colors, they reflect in their meltwater a new cosmos.
With my painting I appeal to the (often unconscious) longing of the viewer for emotional experience.
In doing so, I leave everyone his very own interpretation of what he sees.”
