Sonja Lauber-Karres – Color | Forms | Joy
Exhibition from 04.07.2022 to 12.08.2022. The exhibition is open for external visitors. Please note our current rules (see below).
The exhibition is titled Color | Forms | Joy and shows paintings in acrylic. The Olching artist Sonja Lauber-Karres has consciously dedicated herself to non-objective art and focuses on color and form.
Her works try to transport feelings, to express them in colors. However, the paintings remain deliberately abstract. The viewer experiences his own feelings, perhaps sees something different in the picture and has a projection screen on his own ego. The titles of the pictures are meant to stimulate, but leave room for one's own thoughts. In this sense, the artist wants her art to be understood.
The artist worked for more than 40 years as a social pedagogue and riding therapist, accompanied many people, shared their feelings, dreams and sad experiences - and showed her how different the paths of each individual are in life. She wants to express these experiences and her feelings in pictures.
She experiments with different materials - collages, pigment pours, textured pastes, glazes, acrylic pouring and palette knife techniques.
