Campus information:

The Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry is located on the Campus Martinsried The campus is within walking distance of various scientific institutions and facilities. In addition to the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry, the campus also includes the Max-Planck-Institute for Biological Intelligence, facilities of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich and the Biotechnology Innovation and Start-Up Centre (IZB).


Accommodation:

You can book a room in the Guest House of the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry for your stay. It is located on the area of the institute, close to the main building.

You can also book a room in the IZB Residence CAMPUS AT HOME. It is located on the property of the Biotechnology Innovation and Start-Up Centre (IZB), only a few walking minutes away from the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry.


International Office:

The International Office supports international guests, future employees and scientists before and during their stay. For example, it helps with visa applications, finding accommodation and financial matters.


The MaxLab:

The MaxLab is the student and visitor laboratory of the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry and the Max-Planck-Institute for Biological Intelligence. Here, students can learn about the work of a modern research laboratory through various courses and gain practical experience in scientific research.
