We are working on understanding molecular patterns in the cell membrane and actin cortex of motile cells. These patterns are either formed spontaneously or in response to external factors such as chemical gradients or geometrical cues of the substrate surface, including particle shape. The activation of Ras (a small GTP-binding protein) and the function of phosphoinositides and actin-associated proteins are explored in our research.
