Description

Zotero is an open source reference management software to manage bibliographic data and documents.
It combines Zotero Standalone for your local desktop in combination with Zotero Connector (saving content from webpages) and can additionally be accessed on the web.

  • Usage: multi user, web-based / desktop-based
  • Using the web version the data are saved in the US with Amazon Web Service (AWS) us-east-1 region in Virginia

Additional Information
  • In order to get full texts directly using the "Locate" button, you have to change some settings: go to Preferences, choose Advanced and enter "http://sfx.mpg.de/sfx_local" as the OpenURL link.
  • Offers a "Capture Function": an icon is shown in the URL bar when a book, article, or other resource is being viewed. By clicking this icon, the full reference information can be saved to the Zotero library
  • Offers an easy and comfortable way to add notes, tags, links and snapshots to references
  • Related references can be combined together
  • Zotero is a webbased system but you can also work locally
  • ZoteroBib for easily creating a quick bibliography
