Monika Jasmine – “Waves of the Sky”
Exhibition from June 13 to July 7 2026
Under the title “Faces of the World”, the artist presents timeless motifs, for cloud formations, the spray of water or the mountains that seem to touch the sky above the clouds
have always existed – and yet every painting captures a unique, unrepeatable moment.
Monika Jasmine, oil and acrylic painting
Monika Jasmine, born in Munich, began her career in the early 1980s with charcoal and pencil drawings, under the guidance of Peter Chris Mendl. From 1988 onwards, she took part in various courses in oil and acrylic painting, including those taught by Hans Zimmermann and Lilo Rinkens.
On her travels around the world and also in her local surroundings, Monika Jasmine finds her inspiration in nature. Her acrylic paintings of clouds, water, mountains and vegetation reflect what she has previously captured with her camera. She transforms the photos into colours and moods.
She is particularly interested in the atmospheric depiction of landscape.
Colours, moods and feelings intermingle, perhaps even memories – a unique story emerges that the paintings tell.
