Svetozar Gavrilovic

Svetozar Gavrilovic

PhD Student

With a biochemical engineering background, Svetozar obtained his M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering in 2020. During his master’s thesis at the University of Belgrade he got acquainted with atomic force microscopy and studied polymer-based microparticles as platforms for enzyme immobilization. In 2021, he was accepted to the IMPRS-LS Graduate School and joined the Schwille lab as a PhD student. His research focus is molecular self-assembly on lipid bilayers as a tool for creating patterned vesicle coatings, as well as atomic force microscopy.
