Research Group "Molecular Imaging and Bionanotechnology" (Ralf Jungmann)

Since the beginning of December Ralf Jungmann started to establish the new research group „Molecular Imaging and Bionanotechnology“ at the MPIB. So far he was working in the „Molecular Systems“ Lab of the Wyss Institute at Harvard University. His research is focusing on the advancement of super-resolution microscopy techniques using tools from DNA Nanotechnology. One example is the development of DNA-PAINT, a super-resolution technique using DNA-based fluorescent probes.
