Ubiquitin- and Ubiquitin-Related Systems
DNA Repair, Recombination, Chromatin

Research is focused primarily on functional aspects using yeast as a model. Applicants should have a strong interest in cell biology or molecular biology.

Postdoc candidates are sought with a record of successful research in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or genetics. Postdocs with a background in yeast genetics will be preferentially considered.

To apply, please forward a curriculum vitae, bibliography, and the names and addresses of referees to:
Prof. Stefan Jentsch, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Department of Molecular Cell Biology, Am Klopferspitz 18, 82152 Martinsried/Munich, Germany, jentsch@biochem.mpg.de

(Please send your application not only by e-mail but also by mail)

INFORMATION FOR PHD STUDENTS AND UNDERGRADUATES
The Department of Molecular Cell Biology offers outstanding research and training opportunities. The Institute has an exceptional strength at molecular, cell, and structural biology. A limited number of fellowships for students are available.
The institute's Graduate Program with special seminar series, short courses, and scientific retreats makes the institute distinctively attractive for graduate students. Please note that Ph.D. students and undergraduates doing their Ph.D./diploma thesis work at the Max Planck Institute have to matriculate at an university, e.g. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, Technische Universität Munich, or their home university.
