Research in the
Chromosome Organization and Dynamics laboratory is directed towards understanding how chromosomes are structured within the living bacterial cell and how they are duplicated and segregated in growing cells and during sporulation. We are investigating molecular machines that control chromosome dynamics in bacteria with regard to their physiological roles and their molecular mechanisms using a wide range of techniques including genetics, biochemistry and imaging.
The laboratory of Chromosome Organization and Dynamics is welcoming applications from motivated people with a keen interest in bacterial cell and chromosome biology (see
jobs).
