Vessel formation
The formation of new vessels occurs in physiological (i.e. embryogenesis) and pathological conditions (i.e. tumor development), therefore the interest to unravel the molecular machinery involved in this process.
To deeper comprehend the molecular mechanisms regulating the formation of new vessels, I am using as a cell model primary human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). By applying SILAC I am performing studies at the proteome level.
