The joint Board of Trustees of the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry and the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology is an important instrument to communicate with the public. The trustees are influential members of the German society coming from politics, economy, science and media. They meet once a year to inform themselves about the developments at the institutes and in the Max Planck Society in general. With the help of this information the trustees provide the institutes with advice in social and science-political issues.
