Additional Information
  • In order to get full texts directly using the "Locate" button, you have to change some settings: go to Preferences, choose Advanced and enter "http://sfx.mpg.de/sfx_local" as the OpenURL link. Now the "Locate" button will open an MPG SFX menu which contains a link to the full text of the item if it is available online via the Max Planck Society.
  • Offers a "Capture Function": an icon is shown in the adress bar when a book, article, or other resource is being viewed. By clicking this icon, the full reference information can be saved to the Zotero library
What we like
  • Offers an easy and comfortable way to add notes, links and snapshots to references
  • Related references can be combined together
  • Zotero is a webbased system but you can also work locally - a copy of your data is stored on your hard drive
  • Automatic syncronization is possible
What we miss
  • An automatic extraction of metadata from PDF documents
If  you agree / disagree with what we like and miss, your comments and suggestions are welcome - please contact us!
