Availability
  • For users within the Max Planck Society, EndNote Web is free of charge when used via the Web of Science
  • Platform: independent
  • Word Processor: please see this chart Windows / Mac for Cite While You Write (CWYW) functionality
  • Language: English, German, Chinese, Korean
  • Usage: web based, multi user
  • Limit: limited to max. 25.000 references (only by accessing via EndNote X5), otherwise limited to max. 10.000 references

Additional Information
  • EndNote Web offers less search possibilities than EndNote (Quick Search)
  • In EndNote Web you can not create your own database fields
  • There is neither an editor for import filters nor for output styles
  • Only quick sorting is possible
  • Term lists are not available
  • Capture for importing single references form web pages
  • Information about Roaming Access  (access to EndNote Web from anywhere)
  • Acces to EndNote Web for the duration of the licence agreement (via Web of Science or  EndNote desktop)
  • Acess to EndNote Web via a single EndNote desktop licence for 2 years
What we like
  • EndNote files can be made public - that allows collaborative work on publications
What we miss
  • Synchronizing the library is only possible from desktop to web - but not reverse
  • There is no licence only for EndNote Web - the authorization is given via a licence of Web of Science or EndNote desktop
