In-Service Training Course in accordance with § 15 of the Genetic Engineering Safety Regulations

Once again, an in-service training course will be held at the MPI of Biochemistry in Martinsried. General information on issues regarding biological safety will be provided in accordance with § 15,4(1) GenTSV (target group: project leaders and representatives of biological safety).

We will provide simultaneous interpretation into English via earphones for non-German-speaking participants.

The course will be carried out under the guidance of the course coordinator, Dr. Ralf  Tatzel, who is also the representative for biological safety at the MPI of Biochemistry. Details on when and where the event will take place are as follows:

on November 30 and December 01, 2017
in the main lecture hall, Building T

at the MPI of Biochemistry, Martinsried.

The course will begin on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 8:15 am.

The training course is recognised by the Government of Upper Bavaria under reference number 55.1-8791-03.2.47.

The course is free of charge for employees of the Max Planck Society and the public authorities who are involved in carrying out the procedures of authorization and supervision of genetic engineering laws (GenTG). The course fee is € 200 for external participants (free of VAT according to § 4.22 UStG). After registration, you will receive an invoice from us. Please transfer the fee at your earliest convenience to the account indicated in the invoice.

The participants must attend all lectures in person. They will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the training course.


Overnight stay on campus / Boardinghouse is fully booked, Registration is closed!

If needed, there is an option in the registration form for booking a room at the campus boardinghouse “Campus at Home”. The MPIB has blocked some rooms at a special rate of € 60-80 per room (accommodation only). Reservations will be carried out on a first come, first serve basis, payment will be due on departure directly at the boardinghouse. However, any rebooking/ cancellation will have to be done via our office ( Please note that reservation is binding. The following cancellation fees apply:
