Mass spectrometry for proteomics
We are offering a post-doc position and/or Ph.D. position in mass spectrometry-based proteomics. Our department is one of the leaders in the field and covers all of its aspects, starting from methods development, through bioinformatic research and basic biology and medical applications. Our group has a long history of technological developments in mass spectrometry and has an excellent network in this field. The projects available now involve cutting edge and next generation MS technology and its application in clinical proteomics. You will be making an impact in proteomics in general and in the clinic in particular. We are looking for candidates with a solid analytical training and an excellent publication record that will thrive in a supportive and extremely multi-disciplinary environment. The Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried, Munich offers a highly attractive work environment at one of Germany’s most prestigious research institutions. Working language is English. Munich is a friendly and international place with many attractions in the city and in its environment. If you are interested, please send a CV, statement of research interests and names and contact information of three references to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We welcome applications for post-doctoral positions. Our group is composed of people from all over the world with various scientific backgrounds. Our working language is English. Postdocs typically apply our proteomics technology to an area of biological or medical research where they have previously demonstrated their expertise. We encourage applications for external postdoctoral fellowships.
Graduate students interested in joining the group, should apply through the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS - http://www.imprs-ls.de/)
